Mission & Vision
We pour our hearts into ENGAGING, EQUIPPING and ENCOURAGING men to become more like Jesus every day.
We do this in three primary ways:
RESGEN curates and hosts dynamic, engaging, and catalytic events that men can attend and invite others to join them. These include annual events like the RESGEN Men’s Summit, Date Night Comedy, RESGEN Retreats and the RESGEN Men’s Lunch. They also include other events – conferences, men’s events, businesses, etc. – that Tom speaks at throughout the year.
RESGEN creates and provides resources that help men become more like Jesus and equip them to be the leaders, husbands, fathers, and friends that God created them to be. All these resources, including our ‘Giving Life’ Cards and links to the RESGEN Giving Life Podcast, can be found in the GROW section of our site.
RESGEN delivers ongoing communication and strategies that encourage men to connect with one another and have Kingdom influence on others while on their faith journey. One of the main ways we do this is by challenging men to be a part of a ‘Band of Brothers’ – three or four men who meet regularly to strengthen, sharpen, and hold one another accountable.
RESGEN Men are ALL HEART:
We steward and use our time, talent, and treasure to help others in the name of Christ. We humbly serve and are others-focused.
- 1 Peter 4:10-11; Philippians 2:3-8; Matthew 20:28
We pursue excellence at home, at work, and in the community. We bring our best wherever we are and do all things as worship to the Lord.
- Colossians 3:17; Colossians 3:23; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Romans 12:1
We embrace vulnerability, integrity, and accountability as we strive to live with consistency. We take off the masks we are tempted to wear and are real.
- Proverbs 11:3; Proverbs 10:9; Luke 8:17
We build strong, trustworthy, and life-giving relationships – both with God and others. We love Jesus with all we are and seek to love others as He loved us.
- Matthew 22:37-39; John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:16
We stand on, an are guided by, the absolute truth of God’s Word. We follow the Truth, not trends.
- Psalm 119:160; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 2:8
The RESGEN Story and Key Ministry Moments

Restoration Generation launches with a focus on teenagers; its mission – ‘Restoring a Generation of Relationships – With God and with each other’. The Lord opens doors for Tom to speak at schools, conferences, festivals and other events in 28 states in the first several years.
Heart Not Hype, Tom’s discipleship book, is published to help people move from the mountaintop moment of receiving salvation to living out their faith in everyday life.
Restoration Generation puts on its first men’s event, The Lead Me Men’s Summit, with 123 men in attendance.
Restoration Generation becomes more commonly known as RESGEN.
The Lead Me Men’s Summit is rebranded as the RESGEN Men’s Summit and draws 368 men in its second year.
RESGEN hosts its first Date Night Comedy marriage event on Friday night prior to the 3rd annual Men’s Summit. Over 550 couples attended the event, solidifying Date Night as an annual RESGEN event.

While spending a week alone with the Lord at a lake cabin in northern Minnesota, God reveals to Tom that it’s time to stop focusing on reaching teenagers, embrace where He is leading, and refocus RESGEN’s ministry on men.
RESGEN’s largest Men’s Summit weekend takes place, with 1020 men attending the Summit and over 900 couples attending Date Night Comedy.
With COVID impacting people’s ability to gather, RESGEN launches The Giving Life Podcast to continue sharing the gospel message and encourage men to fulfill the calling God has on their lives.
Due to COVID restrictions, RESGEN needs to limit capacity, so a simulcast option was added to the RESGEN Men’s Summit and Date Night. This addition allowed people to watch at home and in smaller groups at other locations.
Tom is invited to give his first corporate talk at a national training conference. The event’s success opens a new avenue for RESGEN to impact people and influence their workplace culture.
God continues to expand RESGEN’s ministry and influence as our events, podcasts, speaking opportunities, and library of resources grow. And it’s all done with a focus on helping men understand their purpose, embrace God’s calling on their lives, and become more like Jesus every day. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store in the coming years!

RESGEN Core Values:
We connect people to Christ and invest in the people we both serve and partner with.
- Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (John 15:4).
- Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others (Philippians 2:3-4).
We encourage and give life to everyone we encounter.
- So encourage one another and build each other up… (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
- Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29).
We maximize the time, talent and treasure God has given us.
- To those who use what they are given well, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away (Matthew 25:29).
- God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another (1 Peter 4:10).
We pursue our mission with passion and perseverance.
- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
- All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty (Proverbs 14:23).
We aim for excellence in everything we do.
- Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters (Colossians 3:23).
- So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
We inspire others to take the next step in their relationships with God and others.
- And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7).
- So, we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better (Colossians 1:9-10).
RESGEN Statement of Faith
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [Isaiah 44:6, John 17:3, Ephesians 1:2-3, Matthew 1:20-21, John 8:58, Hebrews 9:14]
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His visible, and personal return in power and glory. [John 1:1, Colossians 2:9, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 4:15, I Peter 2:24, Luke 24:15, 34-39, John 20:14, John 14:3, Revelation 1:7]
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, who came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify, seal, and empower for ministry, service, and witness all who believe in Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. [John 3:5-8, Titus 3:5, Ephesians 1:13-14, Acts 1:8, John 20:22, I Corinthians 6:19, John 16:13, Romans 12, Ephesians 4]
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. [Genesis 4:7, Joshua 24:15, Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23, 8:9 & 14, 10:9-11, John 3:5-8, I John 1:9, I Corinthians 6:19, Galatians 5:16-25]
- We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and therefore are under condemnation and that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit and forgives those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Every person outside of Christ’s redemption is utterly guilty and corrupt before a Holy God. [Romans 3:10-26, I John 1:8-2:2, II Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 2:8-9]
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked. [John 5:24-29, Romans 3:23-24, I Thessalonians 4:15-17, I Corinthians 15:51-52, Revelation 20:11-15, 21:6-8]
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, inerrant in the original writings. [II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21]
- We believe God created the entire universe “out of nothing” and man from the dust of the earth to be a special creature bearing His image. [Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 40:25-26, Hebrews 1:10, Colossians 1:16]
- We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, called the body of Christ. [John 17:11, 22, Romans 12:4-5, Galatians 3:28]
